Leila Gyenesei (HUN) has produced an extremely quick swim of 2:05,66 to easily beat her rivals in the Women’s Final of World Cup #1. Joanna Gomolinska (POL) was second a distant 4 seconds behind along with Yane Marques (BRA) behind. Despite her strong swim Gyenesei is still back in 16th position after her poor fence. Aya Medany (EGY) still leads the way after 2 events, after winning the fencing, she had a very strong swim to finish 4th, however her weakest discipline, the riding is next.
Favorites, Donata Rimsaite (RUS) and Lena Schoneborn (GER) sit comfortably in 9th and 10th position respectively and with riding and the Combined Event to come they will consider themselves a very good chance at gold.
