Maxim Kustov, Dmitry Lukach and Danil Kalimullin has led Russia to the last gold medal at the 2012 Junior World Championships by winning the Men’s Relay.
The British trio of Rebecca Wain, Kerry Prise and Kate French have won the Women’s Relay at the Junior European Championships.
The French pair of Adele Stern and Valentin Belaud have sprinted themselves to the mixed relay gold medal at the Junior European Championships.
Lukas Kontrimavicius (LTU) has come from 5th place in the combined event to win the 2012 Junior European Championships.
Jan Kuf has started the day pefectly by blowing his opponants away to win the fencing, finishing with 29 victories at the Junior European Championships.
Juf finished 4 victories ahead of Lukas Kontrimavicius (LTU) who finished 2, with favourite for the event Ilia Shugarov being a massive 7 victroies behind and has some catching up to do.
Kuf ”I’m really happy with my fencing. I feel great today and believe this fencing result will inspire me at the following events as well. This is my last year amongst juniors, so would be amazing to say good-bye to this period of my sport carrier with a bright medal at the end of this day.”
Sarolta Kovacs (HUN) has created history and won a record breaking 4th Junior European Championships title in Szekesfehervar, Hungary.
British Kate French has showed fantastic form to win the fencing at the Women's Junior European Final with 26 victories.
"I’m really happy with this result, this is the first time when I won the fencing event at a major competition like this Junior Eurepean Championships. Hope the next events will go on the same way, so I expect myself at the podium at the very end of this competition" stated French.
French finished one victory ahead of Katsiaryna Arol (BLR) and Gloria Tocci (ITA) and 2 ahead of 3 times champion Sarolta Kovacs (HUN).

It is hard to believe that Sarolota Kovacs (HUN) is still a junior, as everyone is used to seeing her push for medals on the senior stage the past few years, including a memorable silver at the 2011 Senior World Championships. But it is true!
