During London 2012 the Olympic Research Team of the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany with 10 graduate students led by Dr Norbert Müller, member of the IOC Culture and Olympic Education Commission, surveyed spectators for UIPM watching the Modern Pentathlon event, and some very interesting results were found out.
Ah, those wonderful memories of six months ago, those 16 golden days of celebration and elation, of British medals wherever you cared to look, of a nation united in success and revelling in the happiest sporting summer of them all.
Everyone that watched Modern Pentathlon at London 2012 all knew what a great success and a spectacle it was. But now we have the proof, from the official LOCOG research.
During London 2012 thousands of British kids from far and wide came and tried Modern Pentathlon at the BT live sites in Hype & Victoria Park.
They were able to fence & use their laser pistols in their introduction to Modern Pentathlon which was celebrating 100 years in the Olympic Games at London 2012.
