During the same time in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine held its senior Championships which for these athletes was the last event before the European Championships and Olympic Games.
Olympic qualifier Pavel Tymoschenko (Kyiv / Dnepropetrovsk) claimed gold in the men’s ahead of second place in Mishchenko Vladislav (Dnipropetrovsk), and Ruslan Nakonechny (Donetsk) won the bronze.
2011 World Champion Victoria Tereshchuk (Lugansk) won the women’s gold ahead of Anastaysia Spas (Donetsk) and Iryna Khokhlova (Donetsk) who claimed silver and bronze respectively.
