Adrienn Toth (HUN), who finished 2nd in the fencing finished 13th in the pool which will was enough to put her to the top of group A going into the combined event. Toth will start 12 seconds ahead of Anastaysia Spas (UKR) and 16 seconds ahead of the swimming winner Kovacs.
World #11 Anastaysia Prokopenko (BLR) will have to rely on her typically fast combined event as she is starting back in 21st position, and only the top 18 go through.
Double Youth A World Champion Zsofia Foldhazi (HUN) posted the fastest time in group B and of the day with 2:12.47. This was 2 seconds ahead of both Katy Burke (GBR) and Leila Gyenesei (HUN).
The winner of the fencing Sylvia Gawlikowska’s (POL) 9th position was enough to cement her position at the top of the table ahead of the combined event and will start 12 seconds ahead of 2011 World Champion Victoria Tereshuk and with Leila Gyenesei (HUN) being a further 4 seconds back.
