The World Cup Final, was the 3rd event organised by the Chinese Modern Pentathlon Association in the $100 million purpose built Pierre de Coubertin Modern Pentathlon Centre after the 2010 World Championships and the 2011 World Cup #4.
This event won this honour due to its high level of promotion, perfect technical execution, big crowds, helpful volunteers and superb media coverage, out weighing all the other competitions in 2012.
“We are very pleased that everyone liked our competition” a Chinese Modern Pentathlon Association spokesperson said. “We love organising these competitions and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in 2013 for World Cup #4.”
World Cup #4 in Rostov, Russia won the prize of the best promoted competition and World Cup #1 in Charlotte, USA was presented as UIPM’s Best New Competition.
