Schormann Again Re-elected at German President



On Saturday, 10 November, the General Assembly of the German Modern Pentathlon Federation took place at the LSG Sky Chefs in Frankfurt, Germany. After all the reports had been read about the Olympic year 2012, the Executive Board was elected as follows:

  • Dr. h.c. Klaus Schormann (President of the DVMF, since 1984)
  • Dr. Andreas Most (Vice President for Finances, since 20 years)
  • Bernhard Petruschinski (Vice President for Sport– newly elected)
  • Claudia Adermann (High Performance Director Youth)
  • Joachim Krupp (High Performance Director Women)
  • Axel Stamann (High Performance Director Men – new elected)
  • Maike Schramm (Director Sport for Sport for All)
  • Moritz Schürmann (Youth development Director)
  • Tobias Bürger (Press Officer – newly elected)
  • Lena Schöneborn (Athletes Committee)
  • Sebastian Dietz (Athletes Committee)

Not only the new budget, competitions, qualification criteria and acknowledgements were topics of the session but also the future cooperation and discussions with other German Olympic federations, concerning a better financial support of sports in Germany.

It is the entire aim to promote the positive development of Modern Pentathlon in the spirit of Pierre de Coubertin. Honorary Member Carlo von Opel from the German Olympic Society Rhineland-Palatinat was present at the meeting and paid tribute to the successful athletes of the last two years which were awarded with the DVMF-Länderkampfnadel”
