Vote for Yane Marques to become Brazilian Athlete of the Year!

London 2012 bronze medallist Yane Marques (BRA) has been short listed in the final 3 to become the Brazilian athlete of the year.

This award is the largest celebration of Brazilian sport. In its fourteenth edition, the event is a tribute and recognition of the Brazilian Olympic Committee to athletes who stood out during this year.

And Marques certainly stood out, with a breath taking performance at Greenwich Park which won her South America’s first ever Modern Pentathlon Olympic medal.

This capped a stellar year for the likable 28 year old as gold in the Pan American Championships and bronze at the World Cup Final catapulted her to a career high ranking of #2 in the world.

Marques has some tough opposition to win the top prize as she is competing with a pair of gold medallists from London, Sheilla Castro (Volleyball) and Sarah Menezes (Judo).

To help our very own Yane Marques to win this prize, you need to go to: http://globoesporte.globo.com/premio-brasil-olimpico/index.html, click on the smiling Yane Marques and vote!

Spread the word.
