One of the aspects that UIPM believes was not at the desired standard was the level of results at UIPM’s high level competitions such as World Cup’s and World Championships.
To solve this issue for the 2013 season, UIPM is taking on the responsibility to completely manage all aspects of the results at the top events instead of the Local Organizing Committees.
To achieve this, UIPM is conducting a tender to obtain a partner to manage the results for UIPM at these events.
The benefit of this will be that, there will be a consistent team that knows completely the complexity of conducting results in a high pressure situation and know exactly the processes necessary to manage the results successfully.
In addition, UIPM will be working closely with our results partner to develop the results system to bring it closer to the level of results seen at the Olympic Games, such as live fencing and combined event results.
UIPM’s results partner will also be responsible for developing a simple, easy to use results program that will be owned by UIPM. This will then be readily available for use by Local Organizing Committees for your local competitions.
