Athletes from all age categories participated, and UIPM Technical Delegate, National Pentathlon Coach and CAR Pentathlon Facilities Manager Endre Kovats coordinated the training camp.
Dmitry Kirpulyanskyy UIPM Athletes Committee member said during the camp: “We are lucky to be here and train in good weather conditions. In Ukraine now it’s -18C and Pentathlon training can be….painful! We thank Mr. Kovats for the support and good organization of the camp.”
The Ukrainian athletes remained in Barcelona from 7 to 24 December. Chloe Esposito (AUS) 7th at the Olympic Games in London is already in Barcelona a few months now training and preparing for the new season. She said she is delighted to be able to train with the Ukrainian team.
