In women's competition, world number three Ganna Buriak, who won back to back World Cup Series titles with gold in both Chengdu and Budapest, claimed top spot with a haul of 5468 points. The 23-year came of age in 2013 and looks set to be one of the major contenders for honours at the World Championships in Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei, this August. The silver medal went to Iryna Khokhlova, another Ukrainian ranked in the World top ten. 2012 Junior European Championships silver medallist Anastasia Spas placed third and took bronze in Kiev.
Denys Pavliuk delighted the home support as he claimed another gold for Ukraine by winning the Men’s competition. A series of strong performances in all disciplines saw him finish in first position with an impressive total of 5844 points to his name. Second spot went to Ruslan Nakonechnyi who was level on points with Denys Pavliuk but just missed out on gold on number of highest places. Bronze went to Russia’s Pavel Sekretev.
