Danni Wei, Xiaoyu Shao and Xiuting Zhong began the Women’s combined in pole after having won both the fence and the swim earlier in the day. With a 39 second head start, they made no mistake in either the range or around the course and took the title.
In the Men’s event, the Korean trio of Woongtae Jun, Jihun Lee and Donggi Lee were victorious in a tense finale with the latter of the three smashing the existing record for the fastest single heat shoot, hitting the target five times in an astounding 7.22 seconds.
Sister-act Emilija and Individual gold medallist Ieva Serapinaite along with Aurelija Tamasauskaite ensured Lithuania claimed the Women’s silver. Siblings Georgina and Francesca Summers along with Eilidh Prise gave Great Britain the bronze.
Men’s silver went to China’s Shixing Chen, Shiyi Peng and Shuhuan Li after the trio made their way up from having seventh on the combined starting grid. Bronze went to Ilya Palazkov, Pavel Shkrob and Yaraslau Radziuk of Belarus.
