Adrienn Tóth, who is a Hungarian Senior World and European Champion in women’s relay competition, confidently got into the final.
To great suprise, Chloe Esposito from Australia came in first in group ’A’. It looks like she inherited her talent from her father because he was a great pentathlete, too.
Wei Wang, who is 17 old, ran home first in group ’B’. The Kazakh Anna Shondina could not get into the best 18 in this group. The odd thing about it is that she had proved her talent in senior competitions.
There is an other interesting thing: the mother of the eighteen-year-old Arina Jienbalanova is still an active sportswoman and she takes part in international championships.
The men’s qualification started in 2 groups today. There are 72 sportsmen from 27 countries.
Péter Prill (from Hungary) was the fastest in the swimming-pool in group ’B’.
The fencing event was won by the Frenchman Maurin Holyst with 27 victories in group ’A’.
