David Svoboda won the vote of coaches and officials of the Czech Union of Modern Pentathlon to became the Czech Pentathlon Athlete of the Year 2011.
Rogge Visits American Pentathletes

Dr. Jacque Rogge, International Olympic Committee President, visited Colarado Springs last weekend and the Olympic Training Center to meet with athletes and coaches who are all getting ready for the 2011 Pan American Games. He came for the tour with Larry Probst USOC President and CEO Scott Blackmun. He spent about 2 hours to talk to athletes and coaches. Conversation was mostly about how training has changed the new laser technology has been implemented, sprts diet etc. 1976 Gold Medalist and UIPM Technical Committee Member spent alot of time with IOC Executive Board Member Tomas Bach who also won Gold in the 1976 Games in fencing.

There’s also Jin-woo Hong, the current Asia-Oceania champion, who will be competing in Moscow.
