World Cup Final Athletes Announced

After heading to USA, Brazil, Hungary and Russia, the top 36 athletes that will be invited to Chengdu, China have been determined.
Top Stars Qualify from Group C

A host of stars were among the leading pack who easily qualified in group C. Justinas Kinderis (LTU), Andrei Moiseev (RUS) and David Svoboda (CZE) all looked in good form as they eased into the top 12.
Kirpulyanskyy Again Misses the Final

Dmytro Kirpulyanskyy (UKR) has continued his poor form from Charlotte and again has missed qualification here at World Cup #2. The Olympic qualified Ukrainian was way off the pace and finished back in 16th position. Junior World Champion Jamie Cooke (GBR) also failed to qualify after a disappointing fence and shoot. 2010 World Champion Serguei Karyakin (RUS), World #1 Aleksander Lesun (RUS) and Nick Woodbridge (GBR) all looked in good form and qualified easy. Pavel Iliashenko (KAZ) and Denis Cerkovskis (LAT) won the race to the finishing line to secure the last 2 qualification places.

Jamie Cooke (GBR) has produced one of the greatest comebacks in history to come from behind and become the 43rd Junior World Champion.
Kim has a 7 second lead in the Combined

Kim Soengjin (KOR) has maintained his lead at the top of the table after a strong ride. Kim scored 1156 to give himself a 7 second lead over Pavel Iliashenko (KAZ) who scored 1160 in the ride. Jiahao Han (CHN) and Woojin Hwang (KOR) are next back to make an all Asian top 4. The dangerous pair of Jamie Cooke (GBR) and Bence Demeter (HUN) had near perfect rides and will start 5th and 6th in the combined event, which is extraordinary considering the poor fencing performances they both had at the start of the day. Hamad Shows Class to win the Fence

Eslam Hamad (EGY) has showed impressive fencing form to win the discipline with 25 victories. The Egyptian was one victory ahead of Pavel Iliashenko (KAZ) and two ahead of Aleix Heredia Cives (ESP).
