Swimming speedster Jamie Cooke (GBR) has showed why he holds the World Record by easily winning the swim in a time of 1:53.56.
Hamad Shows Class to win the Fence

Eslam Hamad (EGY) has showed impressive fencing form to win the discipline with 25 victories. The Egyptian was one victory ahead of Pavel Iliashenko (KAZ) and two ahead of Aleix Heredia Cives (ESP).
YOG Mixed Relay Teams

The Mixed Draw for the first ever Mixed Relay at Olympic Level has been completed at Singapore Sports School Yesterday. The draw was completed by UIPM’s Dr h.c. Klaus Schormann and UIPM Secretary General Mr Joël Bouzou. Some interesting pairs include current World Youth Champion Chinese Jiahao Han and American Anna Olesinski, Mexican Abraham Camacho and Irish Emily Greenan. This event is going to be a fantsic way for the pairs to learn about each others cultures and countries. Please see below the pairs for tomorrow competition which begins at 11am tomorrow from Singapore:
Han Favourite for Men's YOG Gold

Youth world champion Han Jiahao is likely to be the man to beat in the men's individual modern pentathlon competition on Sunday at the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games. The 17-year-old student from Shanghai has nicknamed himself 'King Kong', because “I think I resemble it”. After claiming gold in June's Youth A World Championships in Uppsala, Sweden, the Chinese is a strong favourite to achieve more success at the inaugural Youth Games.
Modern Pentathlon at the Youth Olympic Games

24 of the top 17-18 year old Men and Women Pentathletes are in Singapore ready to compete in the first ever Modern Pentathlon Youth Olympic Games Competition between Saturday 21 August and Tuesday 24 August 2010. To mark the first ever Youth Olympic Games the Modern Pentathlon event will have several firsts of its own: First time in International Competition that Laser Shooting will be implemented. This is a major step forward for Modern Pentathlon, as laser shooting is more environmentally friendly, safer, Kids can start shooting at a younger age and makes the sport more assessable for all. First time there will be a Modern Pentathlon Mixed Relay in Olympic Competition. This works by athletes drawn randomly together, they don’t even have to be from the same country!
