Earlier this week, UIPM President Dr Klaus Schormann, along with Sports Director Janusz Peciak and Event Director Karen Myers travelled to Spala, in Poland, to visit the facilities of the Olympic sports Centre which will host the 2014 Modern Pentathlon World Championships from 14-26 September next year.

The 10 member committee is chaired by the Sport Director who is an Executive Board member. The Committee overseas all the rules governing the sport and makes recommendations for changes to the rules, competition format and technical requirements to the Executive Board. The Committee appoints 2 members to attend each of the Category A competitions and other high level competitions to ensure that the competitions are conducted according to the rules and regulations.
Double Olympic Champion Andrey Moiseev opens World Cup Final

It was press conference day today in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, as the 2013 World Cup Series reaches its climactic end with the Final set to begin tomorrow. The Women will get the show underway on Friday 31 May before the Men are pitted against each other the day after with the greatly praised Mixed Relay bringing the event to a thrilling close on Sunday 2 June.
Isaksen wins first senior gold with triumph in Rio

After excelling in the riding event, 21-year-old Margaux Isaksen claimed her first ever gold medal in a World Cup Series event. Edging ahead from third and holding off a spirited challenge from the rest of the field in the combined event, she crossed the finish line before any of her rivals in an impressive time of 12:48:70.
UIPM to Organise High Level International Judging Seminars

During the Executive Board meeting in Frankfurt, 17-18 November following the proposal of Mr.Janusz Peciak, UIPM Sport Director, the UIPM Executive Board decided to organize “UIPM High level International Judges Seminars”.

Ivar Sisniega (MEX) 1st Vice President Mr Sisniega is a current Vice President. As a former pentathlete, Mr. Sisniega competed in three consecutive Olympic Games (80, 84, 88) achieving best individual rank (7th), and best team result (5th) at Los Angeles in 1984, and was Pan American Champion in 1990. Mr Sisniega also competed at the international level in swimming, fencing and triathlon. Mr Sisniega has extensive professional experience in the Sports industry, serving as Minister of Sport in Mexico from 1994-200, President of Guadalajara Football Club 2003-2006 and Director of Operations of the Guadalajara 2011 Pan American Games. He is currently serving as Special Advisor for the Veracruz 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games.
