Lemi Fernando (ARG) and Pamela Zapata (ARG) were crowned South American champions in the Senior category at the 2nd Biatle South American Championship 2011, held in the City of Santa Clara del Mar, Buenos Aires, Argentina on 05 March 2011. Organized by the Modern Pentathlon Federation of Argentina, under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports of the Nation, the Enard and the Municipality of Mar Chiquita with 82 athletes from Argentina, Uruguay and Chile who participated in this prestigious event.

USA To Host 2011 World Cup #1

RANCHO MIRAGE — The World Cup of modern pentathlon will be held in the United States for the first time since 1999 and the event will take place here in the Coachella Valley. From February 23-28, approximately 40 countries are expected to compete for points. The cities of Rancho Mirage and Palm Springs were awarded the event last week in Moscow and the official announcement was made Wednesday at the Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa. The event will remain in the desert every year through 2014.
