Lesun has slight advantage over Moiseev

As we head into the combined Aleksander Lesun (RUS) will have only a 2 second advantage over Andrei Moiseev (RUS) with Robert Kasza (HUN) 23 seconds behind, all had similar rides dropping only 20 points with Moiseev dropping 40. Frolov (RUS), Zhurauliou (BLR), Karyakin (RUS), Gebhardt (GER), Rodriguez (ESP), Rego (POR), Polivka (CZE), Bustos (CHI) all completed clean run's (1200 points). Lesun (RUS) will be confident of overcoming close competition of team mate Moiseev (RUS) who completed after similar competition at the World Championships in Rome. Moiseev: "At the beginning i felt like I have the horse under control.The first 6 jumps were quite good.The horse was very active, and i either relaxed or stressed out but made 2 mistakes, which caused me a better place for combined event" Lesun: " I knew the horse,I already performed once in the past. In my opinion it was very good riding. I had to calm down the horse and in the result she became very slow. Only one mistake. Because this is one day competition each mistake is important. " Demeter: " After riding I was happy, i had only mistake.Other athletes performed well as well, so i'll have to do better in combined event" Kasza: "I got very horse. Yesterday girls experienced problems with the horse, but i saw today Karyakin on the clear riding course and it helped.I made one mistake - it is usual."

In late 2007, Colin VanZyl had an idea. At the time, he was the father of two talented teenage athletes. Amanda and Gideon were good fencers, they could run and swim, they knew how to ride, and he felt sure they could learn to shoot. They were well on their way to Modern Pentathlon! He checked into it. There were no dedicated facilities, no coaches in place, no local club or national structure for the sport in New Zealand. Unintimidated, Colin quite simply decided there was work to be done.

South American Biathle Championships

Lemi Fernando (ARG) and Pamela Zapata (ARG) were crowned South American champions in the Senior category at the 2nd Biatle South American Championship 2011, held in the City of Santa Clara del Mar, Buenos Aires, Argentina on 05 March 2011. Organized by the Modern Pentathlon Federation of Argentina, under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports of the Nation, the Enard and the Municipality of Mar Chiquita with 82 athletes from Argentina, Uruguay and Chile who participated in this prestigious event.
Korea Top After Swim

The Korean pair of Soo jin Yang and Soengjin Kim has produced a very quick swim to shoot to the top of the leaders board in the mixed relay event. They are followed by the strong Polish pair of Sylvia Czwojdzinska and Remigiusz Golis with the winners from the fencing Latvia dropping back to 4th position after finishing back in 14th position in the swim.
