World Cup #3 Men's Final Full Report

Saturday, 10 April 2010 22:13

Adam Marosi (HUN) has led from start to finish to claim gold in the Men’s Final at World Cup #3. Marosi prevailed in the first photo finish in recent memory to win in a breath taking last 100 meters from Ondrej Polivka (CZE). Russian prodigy Alexander Lesun (RUS) showed the world he is a force for the future by claiming Bronze. Marosi said ‘It was a great feeling and an incredible sprint over the last 20 meters and I believe me and Polivka won this event together!’

Marosi to Start First

Saturday, 10 April 2010 16:57

Adam Marosi has continued his impressive day out in the sun in Medway by being the only rider to successfully master the tricky course to score the full 1200 points. This means he will start 24 seconds ahead of Russian rookie Alexander Lesun who only dropped 20 points during the riding event to finish second.

There were some big names to fall out of medal contention on the tough riding course including World #3 Edvinas Krungolcas (LTU) who has major issues with his horse to withdraw after 3 jumps to score a disappointing 320 to fall down to second last place and 4:39 minutes behind the leader. Pre event  favourites David Svoboda (CZE) and Ilia Frolov (RUS) also had poor rides scoring 1080 and 1020 respectively to start over 1:15 behind Marosi.
