The New Balance Pentathlon World Ranking provides an up to date listing of the top athletes in the sport of Modern Pentathlon.  Competition results for the last 365 days are used in the rankings.

The New Balance Pentathlon World Ranking score is determined by using points from the athlete's best three competitions.

World Championships and World Cup Final are Level 1 competitions and the top athlete receives 80 points, second place 75 points, 3^rd place 70 points and so on.

Level 2 competitions are World Cups and other major competitions, offering Pentathlon World Ranking points of 60, 55, 51, 48, etc.

Level 3 competitions provide points of 40, 36, 33, 21, and Level 4 competitions provide points of 20, 17, 15, etc.

At the end of the year, the top athletes on the New Balance Pentathlon World Ranking List share a prize money pool of USD$30,000.
