The Athlete's Committee (AC) is comprised of four athletes, elected by the athletes. The elections take place every four years in the Olympic year.
For the period 2009-2012 the members are:
Georgina Harland (GBR), Omnia Fakrfy (EGY), Sebastian Dietz (GER) and Andrejus Zadneprovskis (LTU).
The AC is actively working in the interests of the athletes. This includes cooperation with other committees in UIPM notably the Technical and Business Affairs to ensure the voice of athletes is considered in any proposed changes, developing a newsletter to keep the athletes informed regularly and generating more communication between athletes with a Facebook profile.
In addition, the AC is involved in the development of training camps which will focus primarily on equestrian. Also, the AC are working on improving competition conditions providing feedback to UIPM and competition organisers about the good and bad aspects!
