World Cup #2 in Cairo, Egypt has been cancelled by the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Federation due to safety concerns and will not be replaced.
UIPM agrees with this decision for the wellbeing for its Athletes, Officials and Coaches as due to the political unrest in the country this could not be guaranteed.
The 2011 African Championships to be held in Cairo, Egypt on 12-13 March 2011 has also been cancelled by the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Federation for the same reasons. UIPM is now calling on other African Nations to come forward to organise this important Championship which is an Olympic Qualifier. If you are interested, please contact UIPM Headquarters.
