[ Read more... ]The German pair of Tabea Budde and Delf Borrmann produced a scintillating combined event to claim gold in the World Cup #4 Mixed Relay at Pierre de Coubertin Modern Pentathlon Centre in Chengdu, China.
[ Read more... ]Polina Struchtkova & Ilia Frolov (RUS) have shown their experience to have a good ride and jump to 1st position ahead of the combined event in the mixed relay. The Russian team will start 5 seconds ahead of The Polish pair of Katarzyna Wojcik & Szymon Staskiewicz who struggled in the ride. There is then a big gap of 27 seconds to the 3rd starting team, the winners of the swimming event, China.
[ Read more... ]Yawen Wang & Jiawei Liu (CHN) have won the swimming in the mixed relay with a quick time of 1:57 ahead of the Korean pair of Mina Jeong & Jung-sub Kim.
Katarzyna Wojcik & Szymon Staskiewicz of Poland still lead the competition after finishing 6th in the swimming, however the Russian pair of Polina Struchtkova & Ilia Frolov have cut down their lead after a 3rd position in the swim.

Wojcik / Staskiewicz scopre 42 victories, 4 ahead of the Canadian pair Josh Riker Fox & Melanie McCann. The dangerous pair of Polina Struchtkova & Ilia Frolov were a further victory behind.

[ Read more... ]The Chengdu public will be treated to one more day of exciting Modern Pentathlon completion tomorrow ,with the fans and athletes favorite event, the mixed relay at World Cup #4.
This is the 2nd mixed relay of the year after the successful mixed relay at World Cup #2 which saw China claim gold in this thriving new format which shot to stardom at the Youth Olympic Games.
The mixed relay is growing quick and will also appear for the 2nd time at the 2011 World Championships in Moscow, Russia after its debut at the 50th World Championships hezre in Chengdu last year.
