The British Biathlon Championships took place at Birmingham on Sunday 8th May 2011.
The event attracted over 450 competitors across all age groups from Youth E to Masters.
The Championships were the culmination of a series of regional qualifying competitions which had taken place all over Great Britain during March.
As well as providing a great way for athletes to compete in multi sport, Pentathlon GB use this event as an opportunity to spot talent and to encourage athletes to move on to triathlon, tetrathlon and pentathlon.

Based on the results and a proposal from Great Britain, the points tables have been modified to give equal weight to both the swimming and running events.
We are including the new points tables and a new system that we believe will simplify the task of entering the results.
If you took part last year we would like to invite you to increase the number of participants this year. If you didn’t we ask you to activate this program in your country, in order to increase your membership, promote pentathlon among the youngsters and allow you to recruit new talented athletes for our sport.
Good luck and please send your results to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
[ Read more... ]The World School Biathlon is a fun and simple to organize event which helps federations increase their membership and also recruit the right type of athletes for international events
It is also a great opportunity to expose thousands of youngsters to modern pentathlon and our scoring system which attempts to balance the performances in different sports.
It is a system of competition which allows athletes worldwide to compete against each other by having the federations send the results to the UIPM who will in turn compile them and maintain the current world standings on the UIPM website.
After a successful 2010 season all the results have now been compiled and can be downloaded below. UIPM would like to thank all the athletes and schools that took part and look forward to welcoming everyone back in 2011.
