July has been the busiest Modern Pentathlon month of the year so far. First we had the World Cup Final which acted as an Olympic Test Event at the picturesque Greenwich Park, here Lena Schoneborn (GER) and Robert Kasza (HUN) grabbed gold which also ensured them a place at next year’s Olympics. The Egyptian pair of Aya Medany and Yassar Hefny also secured their place at the Olympics by becoming African Champions. The European Championships added 16 more qualifiers to the Olympics and was won by the 2088 Olympic champions Lena Schoneborn (GER) and Andrei Moieev (RUS). The Military athletes shone at the 5th World Military Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Finally we follow the activities of President Schormann and Secretary General Bouzou for the month.
