Men's Final Preview
Thursday, 08 April 2010 19:55The top 8 World Ranked Men will fight it out for Gold at World Cup #3 in Medway Great Britain on Saturday 10 April 2010 after they all successfully qualified today. Among these athletes are current World #1 and World Champion Adam Marosi (HUN), winner of World Cup # 1 David Svoboda (CZE) and World Cup #2 Edvinas Krungolcas (LTU) and current European Champion Ondrej Polivka. Krungolcas Wins gold in Cairo
Sunday, 21 March 2010 19:14The Lithuanian’s have lit up Cairo in a scorching performance in the Combined Event at the Men’s Final at World Cup #2 in Cairo, Egypt. World #5 Edvinas Krungolcas (LTU) started from 11th position to beat his countryman Justinas Kinderis in a sprint to the finish. Krungolas said “I still feel like an 18 year old after the event and I am ecstatic to better my Silver Medal in the same event in 2009”. Russian Maxim Kuznetsov amazingly claimed bronze after starting in 22nd position.
O El Geziry to Start First in Combined
Sunday, 21 March 2010 15:18World #5 Edvinas Krungolas (LTU) was one of only 3 athletes to score a perfect 1200 on a very tricky riding course. Event leader, Egyptian Superstar Omar El Geziry had a solid ride of 1140 to have a lead of 24 seconds over Dymtro Kirpulyanskyy (UKR) going into the tricky Combined Event with Robert Kasza (HUN) is a further 3 seconds behind. Almost all the crowd will be urging El Geziry on to win his first World Cup medal on home soil. However El Geziry has had issues with the Combined Event in the past so he will need every second of his lead if he is to claim victory.

Sunday, 21 March 2010 13:12Egypt’s local hope Omar El Geziry had had a fantastic fence to win the fencing event in the Men's Final at World Cup #2 at Cairo, Egypt with 27 Victories and just 8 Defeats. Ukrainian Brothers Dymtro Kirpulyanskyy Pavlo Kirpulyanskyy were 2nd and 3rd respectively with Dymtro gaining 25 Victories and Pavlo 23. Giancamilli, Sekretev and Kasza finished equal 4th with 22 victories.
Golis Win's Swim
Sunday, 21 March 2010 12:43Remigiusz Golis (POL) has recoreded the fastest swimming time of the season to win the swimming event in the Men’s Final at World Cup #2 with a time of 1.59.72. Golis touched out Dimitrios Motsios (GRE) and Egypt’s Amro El Gerizy. Fencing’s winner Omar El Geziry’s 5th place was enough to extend his lead at the top of the leaders board with Dymtro Kirpulyanskyy (LTU) finishing down in 16th position to fall 96 points behind the Egyptian going into the riding event.

Saturday, 20 March 2010 17:30Evdokia Gretchichnikova (RUS) has improved on her bronze medal in World Cup #1 to claim gold in the Women’s Event at World Cup #2 in Cairo, Egypt. In the process she beat World #2 and 2009 World Cup Final winner Donata Rimsaite (LTU) and Egyptian powerhouse and World #3 Aya Medany who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Burke Leads into Combined
Saturday, 20 March 2010 15:45Katy Burke (GBR) is one of 6 athletes that has scored a perfect 1200 in the riding event to shoot to the top of the Leader Board ahead of the Combined Event. Burke will start 6 seconds ahead of Egyptian Superstar Aya Medany who had an accident before while warming up for the Horse Riding which left her with a bleeding nose. This contributed to a poor ride for Medany finishing 23rd. Leila Gyenesei (HUN) will start in 3rd 10 seconds behind the leader with World #2 Donta Rimsaite (LTU) a further 7 seconds behind.

Women's Final Update After Swim
Saturday, 20 March 2010 12:58The Women’s Final of World Cup #2 started with the fencing. With several of the top names missing such as the last world cup winner Lena Shoenenborn (GBR), Amelie Caze (FRE), Heather Fell (GBR) and of course the world #1 Laura Asadauskaite (LTU) who was the winner in the corrosponding event last there was a chance for somebody else to clinch the title.
