Pavlo Tymoshchenko (UKR) has won his first ever World Cup Gold Medal in Rancho Mirage, USA and has also broken the overall shooting World Record in a remarkable time of 43 seconds for 15 shots.

He out shot and out ran World #3 Adam Marosi (HUN) who grabbed silver and the biggest surprise of the day was World Ranked #174 Mikalai Hayanouski (BLR) who stormed home to beat his more fancied rivals for Bronze.

Michalik to Start First in Combined

The winner of the fencing Michal Michalik (CZE) has had a clear ride to jump back to 1st and will start first in the Combined Event. 2009 World Champion Adam Marosi (HUN) will be 3 seconds behind in 2nd, winner of the swimming Jamie Cooke (GBR) is back in 4th only 16 seconds behind.

The Combined Event will be very interesting as 26 athletes being within a minute of each other, which is remarkable when Gold Medallist of the Women’s event yesterday, Amelie Caze had a 50 second lead of the second athlete to leave.

So this event is open to everyone, stay tuned at the live webcast at pentathlon.org.

Cooke Win's Swimming Again

Jamie Cooke (GBR)  has again showed us he is the best Pentathlete swimmer in the world by winning the swimming in the Men’s Final. Cooke beat his fast finishing team mate Nick Woodbridge and the other gun in the pool Remiguez Golis (POL).

Adam Marosi (HUN) finished 5th to shoot to the top of the leaders board ahead of the winning of the fencing Michal Michalik (CZE).

Michalik Claims the Advantage in Fencing

Michal Michalik (CZE) has stunned the rest of the men at the Final of World Cup #1 by showing great form to win the Men’s fencing with 23 victories and 12 defeats. The Ukrainians of Pavlo Tymoshcenko and Pavlo Kirpulyanskyy were one victory behind together with Alexander Nobis (GER). World #3 Adam Marosi (GER) is well positioned with 21 victories together with a another surprise packet of the fencing Andrei Gheorghe of Guatemala.

The other 2 big name Czech’s had a fencing disaster with 2009 European Champion Ondrej Polivka having one of his worse fencing performances of his carrer by finishing dead last with only 11 victories. His team mate and World #2 David Svoboda did not do too much better finishing in 22nd position 7 victories behind the leader.

After 25 bouts 2009 World Champion Adam Marosi leads the group with 17 victories and 8 defeats. He is joined on the same score by Nicola Benedetti, Andrei Gheorghe (GUA) and Alexander Nobis (GER) World Champion Serguei Karayakin is not having the best day being 6 victories off the pace.

Triple World Champion Amelie Caze (FRA) has won the first ever Gold medal conducted with lhe new environmentally friendly laser shooting at World Cup #1 in Rancho Mirage, USA. Caze led from start to finish and easily held off a fast finishing Mhairi Spence (GBR) and World #1 Lena Schoneborn (GER) who recovered from a poor fence to storm back to clinch the Bronze medal.

Caze Starts First in Combined

Amelie Caze (FRA) had a near perfect ride to have a commanding lead of 50 seconds over Yane Marques (BRA) leading into the Combined Event. The winner of the swimming, Sarolta Kovacs (HUN) is next back 55 seconds behind Caze.
