Press Release: Victory for China in Mixed Relay
Monday, 18 April 2011 19:16China who was represented by Yanyan Wu and Jiahao Han have won the Mixed Relay event at World Cup #2 in Sassari, Italy.
The inexperienced Chinese team outclassed the field in the Combined Event, which was no mean feat with 2 Olympic Champions chasing them. Andrei Moiseev for Russia whose partner was Ekaterina Khurasinkina and Lena Schoneborn for Germany who was paired with Stefan Kollner, had to settle for sliver and bonze respectively as China ran away with the title.
Team USA to Start First in Combined After Great Ride
Monday, 18 April 2011 15:01The USA pair of Margaux Isaksen and Dennis Bowsher had a near perfect ride and will start the Combined Event 1st with a 2 second lead of the Chinese pair of Yanyan Wu and Jiahao Han.
The Russian pair of Ekaterina Khurasinkina and Double Olympic Champion Andrei Moiseev who were leading into the riding event performed well below their best to drop back to 3rd 16 seconds behind the Americans.

Ukraine Dominate Swim in Mixed Relay
Monday, 18 April 2011 11:00The Ukraine pair of Victoria Tereshuk and Rusian Nakonechnyi has easily won the swimming event in the mixed relay. Both athletes have to swim 100m to make up the distance and the Ukrainians did it very quick in a time of 1:53,78. Next down was the Italian team followed by Poland.
The Russian pair is still leading the event despite finishing in 8th position in the swim. The USA pair of Margaux Isaksen and Dennis Bowsher have moved their way up to 3rd position
Russians Win Fencing in Mixed Relay
Monday, 18 April 2011 09:40The Russian pair of Ekaterina Khurasinkina and Double Olympic Champion Andrei Moiseev has won the fencing in the Mixed Relay at World Cup #2.
The Russians ended up with 44 victories and 20 defeats 4 ahead of the Latvian pair of Elena Rublevska and Denis Cerkovskis. The Chinese pair of Yanyan Wu and Jiahao Han and the Americans Margaux Isaken and Dennis Bowsher were a further victory behind.

Mixed Relay Preview
Sunday, 17 April 2011 21:322 Olympic Champions will line up tomorrow for the Mixed Relay at World Cup #2 with Lena Schoneborn competing for Germany and Andrei Moiseev for Russia.
With Schoneborn’s presence alongside Stefan Kollner the German team will be favorite to win the 17 team competition.
The Italian crowd will have 2 teams to cheer for with Italy 1 being Alice Sotero and Fabio Poddidhe and Italy 2 Claudia Cesarini and Lorenzo Certelli.
All the action begins tomorrow at 8:30 (+2 GMT) tomorrow morning and live updates can be found on Pentathlon.org.
Press Release: Marosi Storms to Gold
Sunday, 17 April 2011 19:11World #2 Adam Marosi (HUN) kept his cool to capture gold in a thrilling Men’s Final at World Cup #2 in Sassari, Italy.
Marosi overtook Justinas Kinderis (LTU), who had to settle for bronze on the final shoot to win his first World Cup in 10 months. World #1 Aleksander Lesun (RUS) won silver, a position he occupied all day.
