Clouvel Fastest in Swim in Group A
Thursday, 26 May 2011 05:42Swimming speedster Elodie Clouvel (FRA) has just out touched Leila Gyenesei (HUN) to win the swimming in group A. This means that they will both start at the same time first in the Combined Event. The winner of the fencing Janine Kohlmann had a solid swim and will start only 1 second behind the top 2. The British pair of Heather Fell and Samantha Murray will start 4th and 5th. Only the top 18 will qualify for Saturday’s final.
Kovacs on top in Swim in Group B
Thursday, 26 May 2011 05:18Junior World Champion Sarolta Kovacs (HUN) has won the swimming in group B in a time of 2:14.61 ahead of Katy Burke (GBR). World #6 Yane Marques (BRA) is in a strong position in 5th. 2009 World Champion and crowd favourite Qian Chen is back in 20th position and has some points to make up in the fencing.

Kohlmann Wins Fencing in Group A
Thursday, 26 May 2011 03:53Janie Kohlman (GER) has made the most of her rare World Cup appearance by winning the fencing in group A here in Chengdu, China. Kohlman managed 19 victories, 1 ahead of fencing specialist Lucie Grolichova (CZE) and Allessia Mancini (ITA). 2008 Olympic silver medalist Heather Fell (GBR) who needs a strong performance to make the World Cup Final finished a further victory behind and the strong Hungarian pair of Leila Gyenesei and Adrienn Toth finished with 16 victories to their name.

Monday, 23 May 2011 17:59UIPM President Dr h.c. Klaus Schormann today officially opened the Pierre de Coubertin Modern Pentathlon Centre in Chengdu, China. This multi million purpose built Modern Pentathlon was built especially for the 2010 World Championships which was a major success and now it is a legacy for Modern Pentathlon and the world for years to come. UIPM World Cup #4 will be held there on 26-30 May 2011.

Tuesday, 15 March 2011 11:57The Invitation form for World Cup #4 is now available. World Cup #4 will take place in the spectacular purpose built Modern Pentathlon facilities in Chengdu, China on 26-29 May 2011.
The Chinese will be looking to build on the momentum created by hosting last years World Championships in the same venue and will certainly put on a show in the greatest Modern Pentathlon facility on the planet.
