Aleksander Lesun (RUS) had a disappointing ride to score only 1152 points, however this was enough to keep him on the top ahead of the combined event.
Remigiusz Golis (POL) has won the swimming in the men’s final in the absence of world record holder Jamie Cooke (GBR) in a time of 1:57.06.
World #1 Aleksander Lesun (RUS) has bounced back from his poor fencing performance at World Cup #1 to dominate the fencing in the men’s World Cup #2 final.
The Russian scored 25 victories and only 10 defeats to earn 1000 points. Lesun finished 3 victories ahead of Denis Cerkovskis (LAT) and Omar El Geziry (EGY) who you can see his interview below.
Olympic Champion Andrei Moiseev (RUS) was next back in 4th place, 4 victories behind his team mate. After Moiseev, the field is very condensed with Justinas Kinderis (LTU), Riccardo De Luca (ITA) and Zhongrong Cao (CHN) all well placed.

If you thought World Cup #1 was going to be big, you will all be blown away by the mass of entries from World Cup #2 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. on 15-18 March 2012
A staggering 80 women and 107 will travel to sunnyy Rio in the quest for valuable World Cup Series ranking points. This means 3 women’s and men’s groups, so only the top 12 will make it to the final to battle it out for the medals.
The majority of the athletes will fly south from World Cup #1, so this World Cup, will be a test of all the hard preseason work done by the world’s best Pentathletes.
