Double Olympic Champion Andrev Moiseev (RUS) made the day even worse for Russia by have a disastrous shoot  and dropping right down the field after starting in 2nd. The success story of the day was current World Champion Sergui Karayakin who started off where he left off in 2010 with suburb form. Others to be fighting for the gold tomorrow are 2009 World Champion Adam Marosi (HUN), World #2 David Svoboda (CZE) and Justinas Kinderis (LTU) who all looked great in the desert sun. Sam Saksen (USA) flew the flag for the USA thrilling the local crowd with an impressive showing. Sadly other local hopes William Brady and Eli Bremer crashed out of contention.
