The South Korean squad has three pentathletes currently inside the top 20 New Balance world ranking: Jinhwa Jung (7th position), who is going to miss this championships; Choon-Huan Lee ( winner of WC#4 , silver medal in Moscow 2005 and Asian Games 2010); and Dong-hun Nam . There’s also Jin-woo Hong, the current Asia-Oceania champion, who will be competing in Moscow.

Berlin, Germany: 5 June 2010 – Iilia Frolov (RUS) has re discovered the form that won him the 2008 World Championships by claiming Gold at World Cup #5 in Berlin Germany. Frolov won the sprint to the finish ahead of Justinas Kinderis (LTU) and Riccardo De Luca (ITA) who claimed Silver and Bronze respectively. Frolov said ‘It feels fantastic to get back on the podium after a disappointing season so far’.
Lesun Wins Fencing

Russian sensation Aleksander Lesun has again shown experience past his years to just win the fencing event in the Men’s Final with 26 victories and 9 defeats. Lesun overtook Latvian Sandris Sika who lead for the entire event in the final bout to claim a massive 1024 points. Consistent Pavlo Tympshchenko (UKR) was a further 2 victories behind with the dangerous Andrejus Zadneprovskis (LTU) and World Champion Ilia Frolov in 4th place.
